We are currently looking for part-time, seasonal work for our little flower farm in Downeast Maine.      

Job Description

Help support our farm operations, including bed preparation, planting, weeding, and watering, plus harvesting, processing flowers, and assembling buckets and bouquets for market. Maintaining the grounds and equipment will be part of the job. We’re looking for someone with attention to detail who is an enthusiastic self-starter, curious and open to learning all aspects of flower farming. You will need to be comfortable with physical work in a variety of weather conditions. Some floral design work may be involved depending on the candidate.

Your Qualifications

• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, and lift heavy things (30-40 lbs) in a variety of weather conditions. 

• Prior experience farming, gardening, or in a physically demanding work environment is a huge plus.

• Some schedule flexibility–extra help may be requested for events or during crunch times. 

• Excellent references from all previous employers.

• Reliable transportation to and from the farm.

• Ability to work independently and also collaborate with a team.

• Ability to follow directions.

• Strong communication skills. 

• Problem-solving skills and a positive disposition!

• Must be reliable! 

• Willing to commit to the full season, which runs from late March through November.  

Hourly Rate: $16-20/hour, depending on experience.
