This is a full cover selected from the New Section.

Seems you can’t edit to this, but have to select it initially.

Heading 2. This is a section with a bg image. Note that the image can’t get very high unless the text itself is several lines high, or you fake it with line breaks…

this feels too big for mobile, FYI

Heading 2: Our Story

Paragraph 1: Section content width is MEDIUM. Height is MEDIUM. It’s also taken on a nice little center alignment. So that gives it a bit more of a stately heft for when you want to change it up a bit. And then one can always selectively italicize and bold all of the things. I don’t anticipate using this format much.

Paragraph 2 here. Line length too long for this size text.

Block quote hack: in its own section, section, with rules, P1. Can control width independent of text, here formatted in P1. Here is some plain text that we can add to this block quote. And if it’s several lines, it goes wheeeeEEEEeeeee just like this. And another sheeeweeeEEEheee heee hee it goes like so much water just flowing all around.

This is a Heading 1. Feels way too big for mobile. Or really anywhere else. Use only for short text and carefully.

Paragraph 2. For longer bits of text, a section with small width and height strikes the right balance with line length for legibility.

We fell in love with this old farm in the summer of 2004 while visiting from San Francisco. My boyfriend and I were literally lost when we found it, having taken a wrong turn down a country road. We loved the open fields, the fruit trees, the wildlife, the barn, and the quirky old farmhouse, and, maybe a little recklessly, we took a chance and bought it. We celebrated our wedding here, underneath two old maples, the following year.

This is a Paragraph 1 as well in a section with SMALL width and height. This format within this context does not sing to me.

This is a Heading 2.

Unfortunately, our lives at the time were still in California. I had a demanding design career in Silicon Valley, but I was growing tired of pushing pixels, the endless meetings, the commute, the stresses and compromises of office life, and the noise and grit of the City.

When my father passed away after a long illness, I came to the conclusion that I could no longer defer things important to my life, so I decided to finally leave my job. We returned to the East Coast and spent a season cultivating the gardens, just for ourselves. We grew glorious armloads of flowers and herbs. I was stunned at what this farm could produce, and I was hooked.

This is a paragraph 3 format. Originally sized very much larger at 1.9rem. Reduced it to 1.5, matching Para 1. I guesss.

This is a Heading 3. Feels close to H2 on mobile.

This will be the third season for Fox Hollow Flowers. We’re continuing to expand our operations with a new hoophouse and more field beds, and we're investing in longer-term plantings with perennials, peonies, and more. We can't wait to share the beauty and the bounty of this land with you.

Heading 4: Our values

  • A respect for the seasons and the natural cycles of growth and bloom

  • A respect for place—this wild and sacred land we now call home

  • A respect for its history—acknowledging that this land once belonged to the Wabanaki, recognizing the historic injustices that took this land from them

  • A respect for our community—our interconnectedness, and the air, soil, water, and resources we each share

  • Farming methods that are not only sustainable but regenerative, without the use of harmful chemicals, materials, or processes

  • Priority to holistic solutions, even if they're not the easiest solutions

  • Collaboration over competition

  • Honesty over pretense, grit over gloss

  • Never control, only nurture...nature always bats last

  • Work hard, but never be too busy to cultivate a sense of curiosity and wonder

Block quote formatted with the Quote tag. Only problem is the damn auto quotes here. And I can’t bold anything or do inline text treatment. Grr. This is a sample pull quote. How shall we format it? We can go a few lines long if need be. This is lame tho—it automatically attaches quotes. What kind of pull quote is THIS?

Purus faucibus ornare suspendisse sed. Scelerisque in dictum non consectetur a erat nam at lectus. Lectus mauris ultrices eros in cursus turpis. Odio pellentesque diam volutpat commodo sed egestas egestas fringilla phasellus. Pellentesque diam volutpat commodo sed egestas egestas. Orci eu lobortis elementum nibh tellus. Ornare arcu dui vivamus arcu felis bibendum. Donec ac odio tempor orci dapibus. Purus in massa tempor nec feugiat nisl pretium. Egestas purus viverra accumsan in nisl nisi scelerisque eu.

Block quote hack with Para 1: use this for proper semantic styling as this shit is more important than P2s. ….In any case you be stylin’? Most definitely stylin’.

Block quote hack with Para 3: line, text, line all added in here. This is an alternative to the Quote for a Pull Quote. Let’s customize this one with line height and spacing more in line with the current text for quotes, shall we?

Erat imperdiet sed euismod nisi porta lorem mollis aliquam ut. Venenatis cras sed felis eget velit. Bibendum est ultricies integer quis. Nibh mauris cursus mattis molestie a iaculis at erat pellentesque. Pellentesque dignissim enim sit amet venenatis. Eu tincidunt tortor aliquam nulla facilisi cras fermentum odio eu. Pharetra convallis posuere morbi leo urna molestie at. Egestas purus viverra accumsan in nisl nisi scelerisque. Ante metus dictum at tempor commodo. Here is a sample three-column section. Pretty nifty, eh there?

Nice on wide screens, single long scroll on mobile. It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

Flower Offerings

Whether you're looking for a fresh bouquet for a beloved or a friend, a special arrangement for a party, florals for a wedding, or a sweet something for your own kitchen table, we bring you flowers that are authentically real, of a time and place, unique to our beloved location here in Maine. Our flowers are offered from spring through autumn.

Flower Share Cards

A Flower Share Card is a great way to get your flower fix and show your support for local, sustainable flowers. It works a bit like a gift card, and it offers you greater flexibility than a traditional CSA subscription. Select an amount of your choosing to purchase, and when you're ready for flowers, simply place your order online. We may on occasion offer specialty bouquets at different price points (tulips, for example), so you can customize your order at any time. Flower Share Cards won't expire, and they make terrific gifts.

Flowers will be subject to availability. We plan to open order placement about a week in advance; your order will need to be received by Sunday evening, with pickup currently planned for Fridays at our farmstand in Lamoine. We are looking into alternative pickup locations on MDI and will let you know about options once plans firm up. (Leads appreciated!)

OFFER: Purchase your Flower Share Card before Mother's Day and we'll throw in a bonus XX as a way to thank you for your support!!
